![]() | hikaru shidou; fanon After over a year of gameplay, certain factors of Hikaru's character, abilities, and story have come up with little or no evidence for any real support from canon. These things have been filled in with as much canon-supported fanon as needed. Hikaru's father ⇒ Hikaru's father is only mentioned briefly in the series itself and once during the third omake. Hikaru told Umi and Fuu that she hadn't seen him since she defeated him in a kendo match when she was in kindergarten. He left then on a training mission. Ever since then, in canon, she makes no real mention of her parents but was practically raised by her brothers. During one of her first curses, she was cursed with Ahiru and Kurogane to believe they were all estranged family with elaborate stories to each of them. A character in-game afterwards mentioned they even looked alike in this way. Because of their interaction, the Kurogane player and myself believe they work very well with a father-daughter dynamic. After more time passed, we decided it would make sense in CLAMP universe that there is a high possibility of Kurogane being Hikaru's father in some manner, especially in consideration of Tsubasa Chronicle's alternate versions of characters from world to world. Whether Tsubasa Chronicles Kurogane or some other form of Kurogane is really her father, we've yet to decide and most likely won't until the series is finished. Until then, it's left open for our expansion. Dreams ⇒ It seems to be customary for most of CLAMP heroines to have prophetic dreams of some sort, usually foretelling the future in some way. Hikaru never gives off any evidence of this in either canon. However, she does tell Umi and Fuu that after their first journey, she dreams about Cephiro. This could mean she has an ability to dream of other worlds. (Or that it was that important to her, but stretching creative liberties here) It would make sense that being in the City around others similar to her and after becoming the Pillar that this ability would become stronger even without her trying to force it. From the way she described her dreams of Cephiro, it appears she was unable to interact or change anything within the dream, meaning she drifts through them, similar to X/1999's dreamseers. Hearts ⇒ Throughout the series (particularly the manga), Hikaru seems to be very in tune with the needs of the heart. She also seems able to guess a person's nature by speaking with them a short time (i.e. her first two meetings with Eagle while in the mobile armors). By extention, it would make sense that she's able to sense what kind of heart a person has after talking with someone a short while. This can also be attributed to her want to believe in the good of people, leaving her to see what's really in a person. |
