[Soon meant roughly ten minutes, since Kid relied on Beelzebub to get him where he needed to go. He had no idea what to expect- granted, he'd started to worry when Hikaru left and he hadn't heard a thing from her, but he knew whatever happened must be bad, if she couldn't even talk.
Steeling himself for the worst, he brought Beelzebub in for a smooth landing and scanned the surrounding area.]
[Ten minutes let her sit and prop herself against the wall by the door of whatever this building was, and she was starting to hate the smell of it -- too dank and there was so much blood. But she could hear him. Couldn't see him, but she could hear him. On instinct she tried to call out but it didn't work well with her lips th way they were; she haphazardly toyed with her phone to set the ringer off so he could hear something.]
[Straining for any sign of her, he heard he ringer, though just barely. He called out again:]
Keep it on, Hikaru, I'll follow the sound!
[He passed a couple warehouses, the ringer growing louder the closer he got to it, until he finally reached the right building, saw her sitting against the wall, but he couldn't actually gauge the extent of her injuries- not yet. But he smelled the blood.]
[She tried to raise her head to see him but her whole body ached at the movement. But since he was here now, she dropped the phone by her side, looking at him almost relievedly. She would've tried to get up, go to him, but her legs just wouldn't move -- the cuts were just too deep.
She was so angry at herself, letting herself get weak like this. She couldn't even raise her hand to so much aswave at him if she wanted.]
[He drew closer, the smell of the blood almost overwhelming, and crouched beside her, trying to keep calm, his face an expressionless mask. Though it was dark in the warehouse, he could make out the cuts all over her arms and legs- not mere scratches, either. They were so severe he was almost afraid to touch her, though he did reach out to smooth some of her hair away from her forehead, doing his best to ignore her mouth. Her mouth was the worst part of it.]
[She closed her eyes at the touch, trying her best to relax. Not for herself. She knew if she were trying to do this for her, she couldn't. But she'd try for Kid at the very least. But for the life of her, she just couldn't stop shaking, despite how tired she was. She made a soft noise; trying to say his name behind her lips, even if it was inaudible.]
[He wished there was more he could do for her, particularly considering the shape she was in, but he wasn't a healer. Tear was the healer, and he'd gotten in touch with her before he set out, thankfully. She would be there any minute, and not a minute too soon. Hikaru had lost a lot of blood already, and he had a feeling she was in shock.]
Don't try to talk. Tear should be along shortly. We'll take care of you.
[When the fonist had received the phone call she was out of the apartment and running across the City without even a moment's hesitation.
Over head her daemon, a tan and black song bird, was beating his wings furiously to keep up with her. She felt the knot in her stomach and the worry weighing down on her shoulders - the son of death had told her that the poor girl was injure because of a curse Tear had no idea what the curse was. With so many different ones occurring all at the same time she couldn't possibly fathom the one Hikaru had been forced to go through.]
"There they are!"
[Above her Enfinte, her daemon, dove down from his look-out up high to fly at eye level with her. And sure enough Tear spotted the two teenagers by the warehouse. The heels of her boots clicked against the pavement in her rush to reach them. Immediately the healer dropped down to her knees besides Kid. The knot in her stomach tightened as the condition of the poor girl fully registered.
Enfinte took to resting on Tear's shoulder, watching with his small beady eyes, offering not a word at the moment.]
[Hikaru watched Tear approach, not fully recognizing there was a bird there. She wanted to say something. She wanted to greet her, thank them for finding her. Of all things, she wanted to ask for help.
It was supposed to be her lesson from the start. Tears were starting to fall she was so frustrated with herself.]
She was like this when I got here. [Kid looked away from Hikaru for a moment to glance at the fonist, grateful for her presence. When he turned back, he saw that Hikaru was crying, and he frowned, wiping some of the tears away with the pads of his thumbs.] She...hasn't been able to tell me anything. But I'm sure you can see why.
[When Tear reached over to the girl, she was careful not to touch any of the severe wounds that was causing Hikaru to suffer. Her eyes were full of concern as a feeling of sudden frustration started to gnaw at the back of her mind. She had watched this girl train with Guy, she had even trained her a bit herself - if anyone was to be undeserving of this uncalled for torture it was this child.]
Just hold on, Hikaru... this may take a little bit, but I'll heal your wounds.
[Bringing her hands side by side together over the girl's upper torso, Tear closed her eyes and concentrated entirely on the fonons within her body, calling upon them with the words that surfaced in her memory. The most powerful of healing spells, the fifth verse of the Grand Fonic Hymn, was Hikaru's best chance of survival.]
O healing melody of divine mercy…
[The familiar arte glyph blossomed beneath her as the fonist focused all her strength into this hymn. The song poured from her lips just as her magic poured into the injuries. Enfinte had bowed his head, eyes closed, as his own energy was focused into the casting.]
[Hikaru listened; it was the only thing she really could hear. But it was beautiful, whatever it was. She'd forgotten Tear could do this. She closed her eyes and listened. It reminded her a lot of Fuu's magic.
Fuu. Fuu would probably be fussing over her just as much if she were here. And Umi woul look at her with those sad eyes of hers. She felt more and more sorry for all the times she didn't ask for help from them when she imagined them here.
She wanted to see her brothers. Satoru-niisama would know what to do. He always did. She was shaking the more she thought about it, the more she realized just how much she missed her brothers and friends from home.]
[During the healing process, all Kid could do was watch- and wait, feeling more than a little useless. And he despised feeling useless. He could tell Hikaru was suffering, even as Tear worked to patch her up, and he wanted to give her something to hold on to. He wanted to hold onto her.
[It was slow but steady process. Every ounce of magic possible was used to close the damaged veins, renew the skin and clean away the stains of blood from the girl's damaged body.
Beside her Enfinte was fluttering his wings feebly - the physical manifestation of her soul could feel the drain too, but he chirped a few words of encouragement to the fonist. Little by little the gashes and wounds were fading away.
For another minute or so Tear had lapsed into this trance-like state, focused only on Hikaru. But finally the glyph on the ground beneath them vanished from view and the glow died away on her gloved hands. All of the injuries were gone, properly healed.
With a faint smile gracing her lips, she looked to Kid and rest a hand on his shoulder.]
[There was... relief. That much she was sure of. The only pain that was left was in her mouth. Tear was really amazing, she had to admit. She wasn't even shaking anymore. Really amazing, Tear was.
If she could smile, she would have. But that would've been forced, and painful. Instead, she opted to close her eyes again and lean her head back against the wall behind her. She was just... tired now.
[It was over. Hikaru would be all right...physically, at least. He still didn't know what happened to her prior to that first barely understandable text message he received, but now wasn't the time or place to discuss it.
He smiled at Tear.]
Thank you.
[His tone was sincere when he said it, and he could think of no other words to express his gratitude. So he left it at that.
Besides, he'd waited and watched for long enough. Slowly, carefully, so as not to jostle her, he pulled Hikaru into an almost possessive hug. She needed sleep, of course, but he'd rather she slept against him than the wall.]
[All Tear could so was smile at the two. She had only known these two for a couple of months but she knew them to be good people.
Easing herself up to stand Enfinte flapped his wings and chirped.]
I will speak to Guy and her other friends to let them know that she is not to be disturbed for some time. While I have healed her wounds it would be for the best to take her to the hospital for a little while.
[She settled easily against him, head against his shoulder. It was such a vast constrast to everything the last hour that had happened; it was welcomed. And as much as she wanted hug Kid, wrap her arms around him, she just couldn't bring herself to.
But... this was okay. There wasn't anything she could do at the moment, anyway, but rest.]
[To be honest, he wasn't expecting Hikaru to return the embrace- she had no energy left. He knew he'd have to support her, just as he knew he'd carry her back.
He didn't mind. He preferred things this way, after what she'd been through.
[Hikaru watched Tear leave as best she could, wanting to give a wave as the only thanks she could give. Once the fonist was gone, she rested quietly against Kid. This reminded her of something... but couldn't quite place it.
But she couldn't think about it now. The thoughts seemed to drift just out of grasp; it almost gave her a headache trying to think about it, trying to force herself to remember. There was someone this whole situation made her think of, but she couldn't even get a face.
Not remembering was bothering her almost as much as the metal taste against her teeth. Oh... That's right. Shifting as best she could, she tugged at Kid's jacket gently with a small noise.]
[Kid watched Tear depart as well, and after she left, allowed himself to put his chin on the top of Hikaru's head. They would would have to leave soon, but they could spare a few minutes of silence and solitude.
Distracted by his own thoughts, he nearly missed the tug on his jacket. Blinking, he looked down at Hikaru and raised his eyebrows.]
[She just looked up at him for what felt like minutes. Nevermind. Even if she could talk, she wouldn't know what to say. she really wasn't any good at situations like this, was she?
Instead, she opted to put her forehead against his chin, the most shecould do.]

Contact me if anything else should happen. In the meantime, I'll speak to Guy and the rest.
